Bridge is the most popular and exciting card game all over the world, because it is game that tests your skills and strategy, rather than relying on lady luck. Bridge is a trick-taking card game that 4 people play in partnership using a standard deck of 52 cards. The World Bridge Federation says that it is easily the greatest source of enjoyment that four people can have with a pack of cards.
"The world’s most challenging mental sport, Bridge is a game of skill, communication and infinite possibilities. It’s part science, part maths, part logic, part reason and embodies cooperation, problem-solving and has even been linked to higher test scores among children. It is an easy game to learn, a hard game to master and you don’t have to be an expert to enjoy it."

Millions of people worldwide play at home, in clubs on cruise ships and on-line. Many advance to tournament or ‘duplicate’ bridge to enjoy both the social and competitive aspects of the game.
Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft once said “I love Bridge. Everybody who is good at Bridge is going to be good at a lot of things.”
If you have never played Bridge and want to learn you can take the first step by contacting me.
As Bridge is a Partnership game, it would be fabulous if you have a friend or loved one that you would like to learn with, but this is not a requirement.
I also conduct private lessons (for up to 4 people).
Please note: I follow ABF approved teaching methods and teach the Standard 5-Card Major system, which is the most popular bidding system in Bridge clubs in Australia and internationally.
As a follow up to the Beginner Course, our Bridge Club conducts weekly Practise sessions where you will be playing with a more experienced partner who will tutor you while you play. Over a 12-month period we hold a series of Improver courses, some “snippet” topics before the regular game, and some Improver Courses on Bidding, Card Play and Defence.
During the year, you can progress at your own pace and choose to only play in the weekly Practise sessions, or in as many as 4 games a week at 2 different locations with our club.
I am happy to teach you the game or help you to improve your Bridge skills at a time and place that suits you. My rates cover 4 players so get your friends involved and let's have some fun!
